Should I Provide Exclusive Content?

Those of you who are regulars on this site will know that I am a passionate believer in the benefits of following an Eco-Tantric practice. Founded on the wisdom of ancient Tantric texts, these benefits extend from improving your physical and mental health to also enhancing your spiritual health and subtle body awareness.

The benefits I experienced inspired me to share my practice, along with some of the knowledge I had gained, and prompted me to build my website, eco-tantra.com. But over the last few years the costs of running the website have increased dramatically, with the cost of securing the domain name (eco-tantra.com) and hosting the website both going up.

I have found myself in a similar position to the local community coffee shop, the place where people like to meet and read and share new ideas, only now it is facing increased rental costs. If the coffee shop is to survive it must either sell more coffee or put up its prices.

But of course, this site is not a coffee shop, so if it is to survive I must start selling my own equivalent of coffee!

In my case, this coffee equivalent is more images and videos. As anyone who follows me on Instagram or who has taken time to explore this site will know, I am unashamed in sharing my practice, I encourage body positivity and embrace arousal as a natural consequence of a Tantric practice. Perhaps unsurprisingly I am often left with various images and videos that cannot be shared on Instagram because of the platform’s rules on censorship. I have therefore decided to make these images available on this site to subscribing members.

I have mixed emotions about this. I generally disapprove of the commercialisation of Tantra and our bodies, but the reality is that we live in a commercial world, and I cannot continue to provide content for free. I have decided to keep monthly subscriptions to a minimum (less than a cup of coffee!) and hopefully, with enough subscribers, most of the content on this site can still be made available for free. However, I am also excited. The move to having a subscribing membership means that I can share even more of my practice and engage with supporters at an even more intimate level.

Hopefully, whatever brought you to this site, you will understand my decision. If you enjoy the free content and wish to support me and my eco-tantric project moving forward, please do consider taking out a subscription, even if you are not interested in the additional content. It really is less than the price of a coffee but it can make such a difference to the longevity of this site.
